Take your seat; it’s a must-see season.

Welcome to our 50th anniversary season – one that is filled with spectacular surprises and great celebrations.

From Ben Stevenson's Dracula to the much anticipated return of Edmund Stripe's Alice in Wonderland to Jean Grand-Maître's new creation, Our Canada, set to the music of Gordon Lightfoot, every show brings our vision, talent and collective love for ballet to life. With new performances, we’re thrilled to bring the much-loved family tradition of The Nutcracker to audiences in Edmonton, Calgary, and Ottawa.

Celebrating our 50th anniversary, we have even more incredible shows that we can’t wait to share. We have the Canadian premier of Shadowland by Pilobolus opening our season, Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo coming in January and BalletBoyz coming in February.

Next year also marks a major milestone as we celebrate the 25th anniversary of the School of Alberta Ballet. Having come so far in such little time, our school in Calgary now offers private academics and boarding options for students from around the world who now have the opportunity to train with some of the best teachers in ballet and contemporary dance. With annual performances in December in both Edmonton and Calgary, our Calgary Contemporary show in April and our major year-end productions in Calgary and in Edmonton, there are many opportunities to see the next generation of stars being created right here in Alberta.

Thank you for celebrating our 50th anniversary with us. We invite you to buy your subscription and support Alberta Ballet in what we believe is one of our most exciting seasons to date.
